Wallpaper Wednesday | Lake Trinity | 3 August 2011
A couple of weeks ago I went camping at Trinity Lake. It's an annual boat trip with family and friends and it is one of my favorite weeks out of the year. Most of the week is spent on the boats, but this year was a little different. The first two days of our trip there was a weird summer storm that kept us off the water... for the most part. Wakeboarding in the rain is interesting, but that's a story for another time. Anyways, after a big rain cloud had past I went out to take some photos and I got this shot. One of my favorite things about this particular year was the height of the water. Usually by mid July the lake level is way below the tree line creating a rim of red dirt between the trees and the water. That was not the case this year, which never happens, and it made the lake the most beautiful I had ever seen.
