Apple Hill Photography | Ty+Nicole | Engagement+Family Photography

A couple weeks ago I did an engagement/family photo session. I'd never combined the two before, but it was a lot of fun and I had a great time with Ty, Nicole and her two daughters Rilee and Maycen. We shot up in Apple Hill at High Hill Ranch... also a first for me, and I really like that location. Hopefully I'll get a chance to shoot there again because the photo possibilities are endless. Here are a couple samples from our session. Enjoy!

Sacramento Wedding Photography | Greg+Emily | 17 September 2011

September 17, 2011 I shot Greg and Emily's wedding photos. We did a lot of their photos at a local strawberry patch which was very different and a bunch of fun. Greg and Emily's love for one another is a deep one. Hearing them speak to one another throughout the day made me honored to be a part of their wedding. I'm excited for this new adventure they are embarking on and I wish them the best.. est. Or whatever is better than bestest. Yes, that is a word. Anyways, I know this post isn't as ridiculously huge as my recent posts, but things have been crazy lately. Enjoy!

Wallpaper Wednesday | Grapes | 28 September 2011

A couple weeks ago I did an engagement shoot at a couples home. They live on a little vineyard by the Sacramento River and on that vineyard they grow grapes. Who would of thought, right? I took this shot in the middle of that engagement shoot. Outside of all that there's really no need for more explanation. So without further ado, I always wanted to say that, here is this weeks Wallpaper Wednesday. If you'd like to download the full file click here: www.facebook.com/slp2011 Enjoy!

Wallpaper Wednesday | Fall Design | 21 September 2011

Hello everyone and welcome to Wallpaper Wednesday. I've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to get out and shoot a lot of landscapes. So, in anticipation of this Fall I decided to make a landscape that fit with the coming season. It's a little bit... a lot a bit different than what I usually post, but I'm happy with the result. If you want to see the full post and download the file click here: www.facebook.com/slp2011 Enjoy!

Justin+Vanessa | Colorado Wedding Photography | 3 September 2011

My great friend Justin got married in Colorado on September 3rd to Vanessa. I've known Justin for a long time and it was an honor to shoot his wedding. I even got to be a part of the bachelor party. I got out to Colorado a couple days early and we went hiking in the Rockies. "I thought the Rockies would be a little more rocky... that John Denver's..." Just a little Dumb and Dumber quote for those of you who didn't catch that. Anyways, we had a blast hiking and it was really fun just spending the week with my good friend. Saturday rolled around and the trip got even better. The wedding went perfectly. Justin and Vanessa did a first look, which gave them plenty of time to spend with each other during their portraits. Listen up brides!!! Justin and Vanessa had an hour and a half to spend with each other. No guests, family, or friend interruptions. They got to hang out and just be with each other on their wedding day!!! I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. We even got done with family photos early enough that they both got to sit down with each other while their guests were seated for the reception. Yes, you read that correctly, SIT DOWN!!! That was a whole half hour to just sit and be with one another. If you can't tell, I'm a big fan of the first look. It gives you and your groom so much more time to just BE with the person you are there for in the first place. Sorry, I'll get off my first look pitch now. Their day did go very well though. It was a blast shooting their wedding and I'm so happy for the both of them. I'm excited to see what God is going to do in them and through them. They have entered into an exciting new journey, and I hope to continue to be a part of that journey. Here are some photos from their day. Enjoy!!!
