Wallpaper Wednesday | Retro Cameras | 24 August 2011

Hey everyone, its wallpaper wednesday time and this week I decided to take a break from Trinity Lake. I still have a couple more wallpaper wednesdays from Trinity, but I wanted to put those on hold to bring some variety into my life. I love photography, everything about it, and when I saw these old cameras on display at a recent wedding I had to capture them on film... I mean memory card. I got my photography start with film and so there will always be a special place in my heart for the film medium, and old cameras in general. I love the way this photo turned out. It's actually been my own personal desktop wallpaper for about two weeks. If you'd like to see the full post and download the file click here: www.facebook.com/slp2011 Enjoy!

Sacramento Wedding Photography | David+Katherine | 7 August 2011

Here is a little sneak peak from David and Katherine's engagement shoot. We did their engagement photos at McKinley Park in Sacramento. David and Katherine are a couple that took advantage of my Kenny G and Company engagement shoot offer. We had a blast shooting in McKinley park and it was fun working with the both of them. Enjoy!

Wallpaper Wednesday | Trinity Lake "The Road" | 17 August 2011

Alright folks, here is another photo from Trinity Lake. I took this photo while on a walk with Becky. It was just after a rain storm had passed through while camping and the road had an eerie feel to it. I tried to give this photo an enchanted look, I wanted to try and mix things up a bit. Let me know what you think. If you want to download the full file for your computer desktop click here: www.facebook.com/slp2011 Enjoy!

Model Portfolio | Commercial Photography | 17 August 2011

This last week I did a model portfolio for Tyson. I want to try and start doing some more commercial photography and I figured this was a good way into the industry. Let's hope it works. Plus, Tyson might get to make a little extra money on the side standing in front of a camera. As you can tell from the photos, he's not too bad at it. Who would've thought? If you don't know Tyson, just trust me when I tell you that the usual Tyson in front of a camera looks more like a little kid than a model, but I think he faked it pretty well. Well, that's all I have to say about that, Enjoy!

Sacramento Photography | Jon + Christin | E-Shoot

Last week I did an engagement shoot with Jon and Christin. We did the shoot up in the Coloma area and got some really fun stuff. Jon and Christin are good friends of mine and I had a great time working with them. Christin is from Germany, which is awesome, so it was fun hearing all about Germany while we shot. It sounds like a place I might need to visit one of these days. Thanks Jon and Christin for being fantastic in front of a camera. Enjoy!

Wallpaper Wednesday | Trinity Lake | 10 August 2011

Here is another photo I took up at Lake Trinity. I'm really happy with how this turned out. The reflection is really cool and gives vertical depth to the photo. Kinda looks like the photo doesn't have a top or bottom right? That's what I think anyways. To download the full file click here: www.facebook.com/slp2011 Enjoy!

StudioTHP.com | Dan+Emily = Married | 6 August 2011

Last week I shot a wedding for Travis Hoehne over at StudioTHP. Travis is a great friend of mine, and the man who has taught me almost everything I know about photography. I'm so very grateful for everything he has done for me. Every once and a while I get a chance to shoot for him and this past Saturday was one of those days. Dan and Emily were a blast to work with and they are both absolute naturals in front of a camera. Their wedding took place at their relatives house in Auburn, CA. The view from their home on the hill was very beautiful. Not only that, but Dan and Emily planned their wedding perfectly around the best lighting of the day. I love when couples make photography a big priority!!! Thanks Dan and Emily for letting StudioTHP be a part of your day. I had a blast working with you guys and I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do. Enjoy!
