Wallpaper Wednesday | Tahoe Landscape Photography | 13 April 2011

It's that time again. It seems like only last week that the San Diego Skyline shot was posted (my favorite)... wait, haha that was last week. Check it out here http://on.fb.me/gSYPij  if you haven't downloaded that wallpaper yet. If you haven't you are missing out, just ask everyone who did. Anyways, this week is something a little different. Last week I went snowboarding with my awesomely fun girlfriend and on the way up to Tahoe we stopped along the road and I took this shot. Don't worry, I left the car running and the heater on for all you concerned about Becky's warmth. I really am a nice guy :). Anyways, It's definitely not last weeks shot, but it'll get us by for now. I'm actually pleasantly surprised with how it turned out. Well, that's all I have to say for this week, thank goodness right? Enjoy!

San Diego Skyline | Wallpaper Wednesday | 6 April 2010

Alright, so I've created a lot of hype for this weeks Wallpaper Wednesday, but I figured it was necessary because it is my single favorite image I've created since becoming a photographer... at least for this week. Side-note, my favorite changes often. This last week I went to Southern California to visit my Brother and Sister who are both still in college. We spent 3 days in San Diego and 2 days in Costa Mesa. One of the days in San Diego we went to Coronado Island and had dinner at Miguel's. It's a delicious small mexican restaurant with the best queso I've ever had. Anyways, all day I had wanted to take some photos of the San Diego skyline when the lighting was right, but by the time dinner was over the sun had set. I still wanted to give the photo a chance and so using my camera bag as a tripod I got this 20 second exposure of the San Diego skyline. The lighting turned out to be perfect. It's definitely my favorite Wallpaper Wednesday. You're more than welcome to download the FREE wallpaper here www.facebook.com/stilllightphoto Enjoy!

Tyson's Big Game | Sports Photography

This last week I took a long weekend trip down to Southern California with my family to visit my Brother and Sister. The Vanguard University Lions (where my Brother plays baseball) were playing a four game series against Point Loma Nazarene University (where my Sister goes to school). The Lions (my alma mater) had a rough go against Point Loma this year losing 3 out of 4 games. Terrible I know, but there was some excitement in the last game and my Brother came out the hero. Vanguard was losing 2-0 and then in the 6th inning Tyson came up and tied the game with his first home run of the day. With the score at 2-1 Vanguard got a man on base with 2 outs and Tyson came to the plate. It's important to note that the second game of double headers are always 7 innings. So, Tyson comes up with 2 outs in the bottom of the last inning and smokes a ball over the right-center field wall to win the game. The funny thing is Point Loma had been intentionally walking Tyson every time he had a runner in scoring position for the entire series... so I'm not sure why they wouldn't walk him in this most important situation, but that's a mistake they have to live with and one we got to enjoy. So, the bottom photo is Tyson's first home run and the top photo is his walk-off. Enjoy! We certainly did.
